ST. NAUL'S, ARDAGHEY, INVER (R.C.) ~ Built 1895

Picture
St. Naul's, Ardaghey
Just off the main Dunkineely to Mountcharles road in south west Donegal sits St. Naul's church on a hill overlooking Donegal Bay.

It is here that the last Scalan (Mass Rock) in Ireland was sited(The Ardaghey Scalan), in existence for hundreds of years until the building of the church in 1895.

It was built in 1895 and rededicated 100 years later on the 6th of August 1995 by the then Fr. Philip Boyce, soon after to become the Bishop of Raphoe.
