DONEGAL ISLANDS

Picture
Tory Island from Horn Head
There are many islands off the coast of County Donegal most of which are uninhabited.  They vary in size from tiny rock formations to the larger inhabited islands like Tory and Arranmore.

Tory island is unique in that it is the only island of Ireland which still has it's own king, currently Patsaí Dan Mac Ruaidhrí (Patsy Dan Rodgers).

Aranmore Island, off Burtonport, is the second largest of Ireland's islands.

The inhabited islands have ferry services from various ports on mainland Donegal and some of the small craft operators will take passengers to the uninhabited islands.
