              DONEGAL ISLANDS

              Picture
              Tory Island from Horn Head
There are many islands off the coast of County Donegal most of which are uninhabited.  They vary in size from tiny rock formations to the larger inhabited islands like Tory and Arranmore.  Tory island is unique in that it is the only island of Ireland with it's own king, currently Patsy Dan Rodgers.  The inhabited islands have ferry services from various ports on mainland Donegal and some of the small craft operators will take passengers to the uninhabited islands.

With 1,235 km/772 miles of coastline, Donegal has some fabulous beaches.  There are very many large sandy beaches, smaller hidden beaches, and the occasional rocky beach.

We are attempting to have photographs of all the churches and graveyards of County Donegal.  Given that there are so very many, this will take time and you should check back often for new additions.  If there is a graveyard or church that you would particularly like to see here but is not yet added, please contact us HERE

Sunset, McSwynes Castle, St. John's Point
Because we have no high rise buildings in Donegal and very little polution, we are afforded some sensational sunsets.  This is a collection of some of our sunset photographs together with a list showing sunrise and sunset times for the year.
