Being the county with the longest coastline in Ireland, it stands to reason that we have quite a few lighthouses.
One of them, Fanad Lighthouse, has become quite famous since it was made a Discovery Point on the Wild Atlantic Way trail.
Another of our lighthouses is the most northerly lighthouse of Ireland and sits on the most northerly island of Ireland, Inishtrahull. It is 10km off the coast at Malin Head and only around 50km from Orsay in the Inner Hebrides, Scotland.
