St. Joseph's Church sits just on the outskirts of seaside village of Rathmullan. It was built in 1892 and extended in 1980.
In the grounds of the church stands the Killycolman Stone (see photo below).
From Buildings of Ireland: "This building was originally constructed to designs by the eminent architect William Hague (1836-99) (who also designed the Cathedral in Letterkenny), a prolific and noted architect who carried out many commissions for the Catholic Church in Ireland during the last decades of the nineteenth century (designing or altering some fifty churches throughout the island)."
